    Not able to lower fp's w/ Cartech; looking for AEM fpr. Where can I get a new one for a good price? On the other hand, might take a used one as long as it's in good condition...

    I found an AEM fpr (part# 25-302) for sale on another board and wanna jump on it. Can anyone confirm whether this is the correct part for my '99 GSR?

    You shouldn't be RAISING or LOWERING your static fuel pressure with the Cartech... replacing it with an AEM will do nothing but harm.

    The AEM is a fuel pressure regulator... not a boost dependent rise-rate regulator. It only raises fuel pressure 1:1 under boost... just like the OEM FPR. The Cartech will raise fuel pressure anywhere from 2.5:1 to nearly 8:1 under boost.

    Look at it this way: The fuel rail mounted regulator handles all fuel pressure duties under vaccuum... from 30" Hg all the way up to ZERO boost. The Cartech takes over from there.

    JRCivic: I was not going to replace the Cartech, but, rather, use it in conjunction WITH the Cartech. I thought that was the advice given to me on previous posts since the B&M was not able to lower the fp's below 52 or so psi's. Is this not correct?

    OK then...
    Set the AEM at 32 psi static. Set the Cartech to 34 psi static, with a rise rate of about 3:1. This should get you pretty close. Remember, you will have to use the restrictor in the vaccuum inlet side of the cartech to limit boost signal at the diaphragm. Peak fuel pressures at 10 psi boost should be no more than 72 psi mathematically... probably more like 68-70 would be right, especially if you have a MAP mod.
